Contemporary handlettering inspired from concert lights, coated in UV to provide a chic glow.
- NINEOFIVE - No Other Name EP
NINEOFIVE is a pop rock Christian band. Per the client's request, a concert photograph acts as the base of the cover artwork, paired with contemporary handlettering inspired from concert lights. The type is thin so not to affect the integrity of the underlying photo, which is composed hazily to not only highlight the lettering as the focal, but to embody the surreal experience of gathering to worship. Drawing further from concert lights, the CD retainer and embossed dot type are coated in turquoise UV, providing a chic glow when dark. This is one of three directions presented to the client. Featured on THE DIELINE. - Awarded the "Certificate of Typographic Excellence" by the Type Directors Club. To be included in the Type Directors Club Annual, Typography 33, and will also be displayed at the 58th Awards Exhibition in New York. Selected from 1800 entries spanning 35 countries.
